This Privacy Policy explains how we (Abletech Limited) collect, use and store your personal and other information. It forms part of our Terms of Use and so should be read in conjunction with it.

What does this policy apply to?

Account Owners and Authorised Users

Some of the provisions of this Privacy Policy are stated to apply to Account Owners or Authorised Users only. If you have created an account for the Services then you are an “Account Owner” under this Privacy Policy. If you have been invited or authorised by or on behalf of an Account Owner to use the Services and/or Application under their account then you are an “Authorised User” and that Account Owner is “your Account Owner”. Similarly, if you are an Account Owner, the Authorised Users under your account are “your Authorised Users”. To avoid any doubt, you can be both an Account Owner and an Authorised User for the purpose of this Privacy Policy.

What information do we collect?

We may collect and hold information from you when you use the Services and Application and otherwise interact with us in relation to the Services or Application. For example, we may collect the following information:

  • Information you submit to us: Information that you provide by filling in forms in the Application or as part of using the Services or by otherwise contacting us. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Application or any of the Services, subscribing to any of the Services, maintaining your details in the Services and posting material as part of using the Application or Services (eg, asset related information, task and schedule information). If you submit other people’s personal information you must first obtain all of the necessary consents to do so.
  • Technical and statistical information: We may also collect technical, statistical and other information when you use the Application or Services or view content on The information includes traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data as well as information about total number of assets recorded, total number of location scans per day, or total distance travelled by vehicles. We may also collect information about any device you download a copy of the Application to (each a “Device”). This includes, where available, the Device's unique device identifiers, operating system, brow numbered-sectionser type and mobile network information as well as the device's telephone number.
  • Cookies: Some of the technical and statistical information may be collected through the use of “cookies” and similar technologies. Cookies are text files that are placed on your Device or system when you visit These cookies are used to enable us to gather information about your use of the Application or Services.   • Location information: When you use one of our location-enabled Services, we may collect and process information about your actual location. This happens via your Device or when you otherwise upload the information (eg to

Aspects of the Services and Application won’t work properly, or at all, if you choose not to submit the intended information. For example, if you choose to disable cookies then you may not be able to use a number of features. In particular, please note that some of the features of our Services require location data. If you choose to turn off the sending of location data from your Device you may be prevented from using certain features of our Services.

How do we use your information?

We use information for purposes related to the Services, the Application and/or our Terms of Use, including to:

  • provide, operate, support and improve the Services and Application;
  • contact you in relation to the Services and Application;
  • comply with, enforce or apply our Terms of Use or to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, requirement or request;
  • if you are an Account Owner, enable your Authorised Users to use the Services and collaborate and share information (with you and each other); and
  • if you are an Authorised User, enable your Account Owner, and other Authorised Users that have the same Account Owner as you, to use the Services and collaborate and share information (with you and each other).

When we collect technical or statistical information from your use of the Application or Services we may use this information for promotional purposes, but never in a way that is attributable to you.

We may also use your information for purposes related to any of the circumstances in which we may disclose your information (see below) or for any other purpose that you have authorised.

When do we disclose information?

We may disclose your information to:

  • If you are an Account Owner, to your Authorised Users. However, please note that if you are an Account Owner then there are settings within the Services that you can use to restrict your Authorised Users from accessing certain information.
  • If you are an Authorised User, to your Account Owner and other Authorised Users that have the same Account Owner as you. For example, your Account Owner and other Authorised Users may be able to track your location and see the information that you upload to the Service.
  • Services providers and others working with us to provide the Services and Application or otherwise operate, support or improve them.
  • Our online payment gateway provider eWAY ( Credit card information and other payment details will be collected and held by eWAY and will not be held by us. Please read eWay’s Terms and conditions and Privacy policy for how they will hold and use your personal information.

We may also disclose your information to third parties:

  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your information to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If Abletech Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case information held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with any legal or regulatory obligation, requirement or request.
  • In order to comply with, enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements with you or to investigate potential breaches.
  • In order to protect the rights, property or safety of Abletech Limited, our customers or others.

Where do we hold personal information?

Personal information that you provide to us will be held by us in New Zealand and/or by our trusted hosting providers. Our hosting providers are located outside New Zealand.

Links to third party sites may, from time to time, contain links to and from other’s websites (including, but not limited to, websites on which the Application or the Services are advertised). If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites and any services that may be accessible through them have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies or for any personal data that may be collected through these websites or services, such as contact and location data. Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites or use these services.

Commercial communications

We may send occasional promotional emails to you in relation to our current or future services. By agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you consent to our sending such emails to you. Any such emails will contain a functional unsubscribe facility, enabling you to opt-out of such messages at any time.

Your rights to access and request correction

You have the right to access and to request correction of any personal information that we hold about you. If you would like to see the personal information relating to you that we have stored, or to request correction of such personal information, or if you have any concerns regarding your privacy, please contact us by any of the means set out below. We may require proof of your identity before being able to provide you with any personal information.
